About Body Graphics Tattoo

Our history

Pat Martynuik AKA the Picture Machine was taught to tattoo by Doc Forbes in Vancouver Canada he then opened the first shop in Edmonton Alberta Canada in the 60s. He moved to San Francisco to work for world famous Lyle Tuttle in the early 70s. He tattooed rockstars and counter culture legends such as Janis Joplin, Cher, Hunter S Thompson to name a few. During this time he was teaching His son Guy Martynuik to tattoo. in 1975 he opened Picture Machine Tattoo, which is San Francisco’s oldest running tattoo shop. In 1976 His son Guy moved to Reno and opened Body Graphics Tattoo, where he taught his son Jesse Martynuik to tattoo, becoming Americas first third generation tattooer. Jesse took over Body Graphics after Guy passed away. It is now nevadas oldest tattoo shop. Stop by and see generations of tattoo history. We have a tattoo museum full of stories art and magic.
